JENNIFER WRIGHT
DIRECTOR
Jennifer has been married to her husband Joe for 30 years and together they have two children, Josh and Jordan. She has called Georgia home for 26 years. Jennifer has been at Macland Preschool for 17 years. She was the lead teacher in the Three-Year-Old classroom. What started off as a job that fit into her child’s school schedule turned out to be the calling she never knew was there. Jennifer taught in the Three-Year-Old classroom for 16 years. Each year learning more, growing more and realizing that Macland was not just a job but a second home. She loves her preschool families, her staff and is committed to bringing an age appropriate preschool education in a loving, accepting and Christian environment.
JAIMIE JERNIGAN
Assistant Director & Lead Teacher Fours/Fives Transition Class
Jaimie is married to her husband Justin and together they have three children, Camden (9),Aubree (5) and their newest addition, Easton who was born in September. Her childhood dreams were to be a mother and a teacher, and she absolutely loves being both. Jaimie has been in education for 19 years and has taught first grade, second grade, pre-k, special education and now our Fours/Fives transition to Kindergarten class here at Macland.
MONICA KICKLIGHTER
Lead Toddler/Young Twos Teacher
Monica always knew her heart belonged in the classroom. She started off working at the elementary level and worked with grades Pre-K through 5th for a period of seven years. She also ran a science lab and cheerleading squad during this time. Monica took a break from teaching to become a mom to two beautiful, very active children. She is very involved in the activities that her children are in. She has been teaching her at Macland Preschool for over three years. She started off as an assistant in the toddler room and was promoted to the Two Year Old lead teacher the following year. She also taught Music & Movement and Science last year. She is happier than ever doing what she enjoys most. She is invested in teaching, caring and loving her students.
NICOLE GASTON
Assistant Toddler/Young Twos Teacher
Nicole has been a preschool teacher for 17 years and earned her TCC at Chattahoochee Tech. She took some time off from teaching to be a stay-at-home mom when her son was born, but decided it was time to return once he started school. In her spare time she loves working on her photography, drawing and going on adventures with her husband and son.
JANET LENTZ
Lead Older Two Year Teacher
Janet was born in Chicago, IL into a family of 6 children. She moved to Georgia in 1989 after getting married to her long-time sweetheart & together they have three children. Janet worked for 15 years at Faith Lutheran preschool with ages from two years old to four years old. She has also helped with Sunday School classes and worked many youth group retreats. She absolutely loves children. Janet has worked at Macland Preschool for over three years and adores her job and all the precious little ones she spends her day with here. “It’s so great to watch their eyes light up and their faces smile when they are learning God’s word and about the love He has for us.”
JENNY MCBRIDE
Assistant Older Two Year Teacher
Jenny is married and has 3 kids, one of which went through the Pre-K class here at Macland. Her oldest, Brennan, is 12; her middle is Kinley, she is 10, and her youngest, Reagan, is 6. She has worked with children in both daycare and preschool settings, as well as in elementary schools. She took a break for a little while to stay home and be "mom" but she is excited to get back into the school setting working with two year old's.
OLGA KHRAMOVA
Lead Three Year Teacher
Olga has been married for over seven years to her husband Peter and has three beautiful children. She has been teaching at Macland Preschool for over four years. She loves working with children and watching them learn and grow. She sees that each and every one of them are unique and have his or her own way of blossoming. She enjoys challenging them, in a fun way, for them to discover all that they are capable of. There is no emotion unwelcomed in her class and she loves to help children grow to understand all those emotions and how to work with them.
Paula Gomez
Assistant Three Year Teacher
Paula is married with two children, Julian (5) and Jacob (3) and has lived here in Georgia now for two years. Paula has over 10 years of experience working with children; she started with the roll of special needs teacher assistant, at the same time, worked as a Spanish tutor. She took some time off to be a stay-at-home mom when her boys were born. She received her Bachelor of Arts, in psychology in 2013 and has focused on childhood development psychology ever since. What she enjoys the most about working with children is watching them grow and develop in theirown special and unique way.
FARRAH BROCK
Assistant Four Year Teacher
Farrah has been teaching at Macland Preschool for over three years. She is married to a first responder, and is the mother of four boys ages 26, 24, 20 and 7. Not only is she a proud first responder wife, but she is also a proud Coast Guard mom. She has attended Chattahoochee Technical College studying Computer Science as well as Athens Technical College studying Radiology. She is currently attending Eastern Gateway College and will be graduating early 2024 with a Business Management degree.
NATALIE WRIGHT
Lead Four Year Pre-K Teacher
Natalie grew up in Tennessee. While in college she moved to Woodstock, Ga to complete an internship with a local church. During that time, she met her husband Josh. She and her husband have one son, Lennox and a dog named Maggie. She received her Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education in 2020 from Liberty University. This is Natalie’s first year in the classroom and she loves getting to be with all her sweet four-year-old's.
MARIA HILL
Science and Art Teacher
Maria is originally from Long Island New York and moved to North Carolina as a teenager.  She worked in pediatric dental office prior to having kids.  She was a stay-at-home mom the past 20 years of five boys with ages from college to elementary school.  She relocated to Atlanta in 2018 for her husband’s work.  Maria has worked with children all her life and it is a passion of hers. In her free time, she enjoys crafting, gardening, and spending time with her family.
ANGEL LORKOWSKI
Our Preschool “Angel” & Head Of Our Parent Committee
Angel is a wife and momma of five, two of which attend Macland Preschool. She was born in Georgia and grew up locally in New Hope. She moved to Powder Springs when she got married. She and her husband Brent have been married for eight years. Her family is full of sports players that keep them busy. She and her husband also are Goldendoodle breeders and raise lots of sweet puppies to be adopted into new families. She is a mom who wants to soak up every minute of her kids while they are little. Angel does many things for our preschool including helping to lead some of our extracurricular classes and heading up our preschool Parent Committee just to name a few. She and her family have been extremely involved and invested in our preschool from the day they walked through the doors.
